This summer, Operation Inspire expanded its reach with a month-long robotics program at Claude O. Markoe Elementary School. Sponsored by our philanthropic arm Cane Bay Cares, the camp introduced 52 students in grades 3 through 6 to hands-on coding, teamwork challenges, and real-world problem-solving through robotics.
Students competed in team-based challenges, explored programming using Blockly, and wrapped up the experience with a lively showcase that left instructors, coordinators, and families deeply impressed. “Just watching the kids so engaged, not wanting to leave, and actually asking the instructors for more time was more than we could even ask for,” said Janella Simon, Director of Corporate Relations at Cane Bay Partners.

With the support of partners like VIHFA, Centripetal VI, LLLP, Boomerang Eats, and dedicated educators on the ground, the program exceeded expectations and reinforced Operation Inspire’s mission to prepare students for the future.
